The foundation of our energizing tea is the steeping of the antioxidant-rich skin of the Cascara fruit, or the coffee cherry which grows around the coffee bean, much like the flesh of a cherry around the pit.
Traditionally, this fruit has been discarded in the extraction process of the bean(s).
With our cold-brewing method we manage to keep the level of antioxidants high. This process produces less tannins, as they can lead to a more bitter taste.
The cascara pulp is then filtered out after steeping. Finally, we add lemon juice, additional natural flavors (extracts) and ingredients, in a superb blend that results in a smooth, crisp, refreshing taste.
